KARACHI: According to The News on Saturday, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) rejected rumours of a forthcoming mini-budget and disregarded any fresh tax amnesty plans because of IMF constraints.At separate gatherings held at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), FBR Chairman Asim Ahmed made the announcement to the business community (FPCCI).
The meeting’s chairman also declared that, at the request of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the Tax Reforms Commission was being reactivated.
