LHC issues a notice on Khadija Shah’s bail requests in 2 cases
KARACHI – On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) sent notifications to the Sarwar Road and Gulberg police stations’ investigation officers about bail requests submitted by fashion designer Khadija Shah in two cases involving the May 9 incident. Justice Aalia Neelum’s division bench heard the bail petitions submitted by Khadija Shah in relation to the attacks on Jinnah House and Askari Tower. The petitioner’s attorney told the court that his client was named in two cases that were filed under the Pakistan Penal Code and the Anti-Terrorism Act. He claimed that despite the lack of compelling evidence, the trial court rejected his client’s post-arrest bail motions. He begged the judge to grant his client’s request for bond relief.
