The country will hold elections in 2023 at the scheduled period, not as demanded by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, according to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday.
The defence minister said in an interview that Khan’s approach was all about “destroying the establishment” and that now that the no-confidence motion to remove him from office has been successful, he “wants the establishment to support him.”
Asif continued by saying that the general elections in the nation would not take place in 2023 as planned but rather under Khan’s demands.
