ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Javed Latif stated on Wednesday that Punjab would not be subject to governor’s rule by the federal government.
Nobody in Punjab has any plans to impose governor’s rule since it is difficult to do so now that the 18th Amendment has been passed, he continued.
During the Geo News show Capital Talk, prominent PML-N leader Javed Latif made a statement regarding governor’s rule in Punjab.
Regarding Rana Sanaullah’s remarks regarding governor’s rule in Punjab, Latif said that his remarks were a response to what the PTI leaders were saying.
Javed Latif already voiced dissatisfaction at the current administration for failing to take action against the previous prime minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and Farah Gogi in a speech .
Javed Latif stated, “I have been requesting at cabinet sessions that action be taken against the beneficiary of Bani Gala Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and Farah Gogi,” questioning why they are still in office if the government is unable to take action against them.
If the party is unable to end Nawaz Sharif’s trials, what good is it to be in government, he asked.
The leader of the PML-N stated that they were opposed to clinging onto power from the start.
After the Supreme Court reinstated Pervez Elahi, who is supported by Imran Khan, as chief minister and dismissed Hamza Shahbaz as chief minister on Wednesday, the federal government threatened to impose governor’s control in Punjab.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated during a press conference that “the summary to impose governor’s rule is being drafted, and I — myself — have started work on it.”
