Muslim League of Pakistan Today (Monday), according to Dunya News, the prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and former finance minister Nawaz Sharif will travel back to Pakistan from London.
Details indicate that Ishaq Dar would take the oath of office as a senator on Tuesday and become finance minister on Wednesday.
Miftah Ismail resigned from his position as finance minister earlier on Sunday in accordance with the party’s decision, and Ishaq Dar has been proposed as Miftah’s replacement.
Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, met in London to review the current state of affairs in the nation and the actions done by the coalition government in power.
Ishaq Dar, a former finance minister, Marryium Aurangzeb, Miftah Ismail, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, and Ahad Cheema were also present during the conference.
Miftah Ismail submitted his resignation to Nawaz Sharif at the meeting. He thanked the PML-N leadership for giving him the chance and stated that he did his best to fulfil his duties during his four-month limited stint.
Nawaz Sharif thanked Miftah for his efforts and the manner he carried out his responsibilities during a time when the nation was going through an economic crisis while also accepting his departure.
The meeting took the stance that the present administration must end the economic catastrophe brought on by the outgoing administration, and Nawaz Sharif and the prime minister proposed Senator Ishaq Dar for the job of minister of finance.
Ishaq Dar stated in an interview with Dunya TV that he will return to Pakistan alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz on Sunday and will take his oath as a senator on Tuesday. He further stated that, pending the approval of PML-N top brass, he will take his oath as Finance Minister on Wednesday.
