According to police officials, police in Karachi have detained 782 Afghan immigrants who have been living there illegally for the past 23 days.

From September 9 to October 2, according to officials, the police department conducted various operations in Karachi’s eight districts and detained 782 Afghans who were allegedly living there illegally.
According to authorities, the majority of the illegal immigrants were detained in the Malir, Korangi, and East areas. In the East district, 135 in Malir, and 114 in Korangi districts, police detained 204 illegal immigrants.
Additionally, 126 Afghans were detained in Keamari, 90 in Central, and 58 in Karachi West area, according to police.
According to the police, 35 Afghans were also detained in the City police district and 20 in the South district.
After the meeting of the apex committee, interim interior minister Sarfraz Bugti told a press conference in Islamabad that the immigrants had been given until November 1 to leave the country.
In addition, a task group that will take action against illegal immigrants has been formed, according to Bugti. The minister bemoaned the fact that “Pakistan is the only country that allows entry of people even without a passport.”
The National Apex Committee meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, agreed to remove foreigners who were illegally residing in Pakistan.
Terrorist assaults have increased recently in Pakistan, including recent large-scale explosions in Mastung and Hangu.
