Imran’s bail request in the cypher case will be heard in open court, under IHC.
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) petitioned the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to hold in-camera proceedings of ousted premier Imran Khan’s bail plea in the cypher case, but the IHC rejected the request on Wednesday.
Earlier this week, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq had reserved judgement regarding the FIA’s appeal.
The judge stated that the case will be heard in open court upon announcing the verdict. According to CJ Farooq, the secret documents will remain that way following consultation with the solicitors.
The bail application hearing was scheduled by the court for October 9.
