ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday that he and his party are still the targets of a “regime change international conspiracy” despite the legal proceedings and arrests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders. In a live address to the country broadcast on mainstream media, PTI Chairman Imran Khan reportedly claimed that the foreign conspiracy had reached a new phase after toppling his administration in the recent past.
He claimed in the last round of the plot that the PTI was opposed to the Pakistani army, which was completely false because his party could never be the force to oppose the institution. Imran added that during the latest phase of the plot, the conspirators have begun attempting to dismantle the PTI, the largest party in Pakistan, by alleging foreign funding and attempting to block social media and TV networks that support the foreign administration.
PTI Chairman Imran said India and Israel had celebrated the regime change in Pakistan against him. Commenting on the issue of Shehbaz Gill, Imran Khan said his arrest was against the laws. He said Shehbaz Gill should be provided justice. During the speech, Imran Khan also released a clip of different anti-army and generals speeches delivered by the ruling parties’ leaders including Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and others. He reiterated the demand for free and fair general elections immediately.
