Following the Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) directive to strike the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) section from the case, an anti-terrorism court on Tuesday forwarded the terror case filed against PTI Chairman Imran Khan to a sessions court.
After making threats against a second session judge and police officers in the nation’s capital while addressing the crowd at one of his party’s election rallies, Khan was charged with terrorism.
Justice Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan presided over the case hearing at the anti-terrorism court in Islamabad. Babar Awan, the PTI chief’s attorney, appeared in court on his behalf and read the IHC’s directive to strike the case’s references to terrorism.
