Imran Khan, former prime minister and leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI), has established a special committee of political and economic specialists to recommend corrective actions for the nation’s economic recovery.
This decision was made at a meeting of the PTI’s senior political leadership and economic team, which was presided over by Imran Khan. It was decided that Shaukat Tareen, a former finance minister, would preside over the economic committee.
It was also determined that the committee would hire specialists from a variety of different disciplines, including energy, industry, social welfare, trade, and agriculture, in order to build a comprehensive plan to shield the most vulnerable members of society from the worst consequences of the economic crisis.
