Imran Khan, the party’s chairman, declared that “free and fair elections” were the only option for moving forward after PTI’s “landslide victory” in the fiercely contested Punjab by-elections on Sunday.
Voting took place on 20 seats throughout the province, and it was a battle for the throne of Punjab as the PTI managed to garner more support than the PML-N, which has held power for a very long time.

He continued, “Any other course will only result in increased political unpredictability [and] further economic chaos.”
Victory
The PTI camp is in full celebration mode as preliminary, unofficial results from the Punjab by-election demonstrate the party’s clear victory.
In the meantime, PML-N leaders accepted defeat after PTI’s “landslide victory” in the fiercely contested Punjab by-polls.
After the PTI won nine constituencies (PP-217, PP-288, PP-282, PP-83, PP-158, PP-202, PP-224, PP-167, and PP-170) and won or is currently leading in nearly as many others, the party declared a “change in Pakistan.”
