Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), would run for the party’s nomination in the next by-election for 33 NA seats, according to Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the party’s vice president.
In an interview with the media in Lahore, Mr. Qureshi stated that Mr. Khan presided over the meeting of the core committee and parliamentary committee where the political and economic situation of the country was discussed and four agreements were created.
Regarding the arrest of Fawad Chaudhry, a pillar of the PTI, Mr. Qureshi said, “We bitterly oppose Mr. Chaudhry’s arrest.”
The petition for the elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be filed tomorrow, according to senior PTI leader Asad Umar. “The country’s security was under threat, and there were concerns that the country may become bankrupt,” bemoaned Mr. Umar.
