According to forecasters, Tropical Storm Ian has intensified into a hurricane as it approaches Cuba on a course that will eventually carry it to Florida in the coming days. Ian should arrive in the far western region of Cuba late Monday or early Tuesday, according to the National Hurricane Center. Around mid-week, it could make landfall in Florida, possibly impacting the state’s western coast or Panhandle.
You should be aware that weather authorities have warned that Florida might experience “catastrophic” repercussions.
Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida, advised citizens to stock up on supplies of food, water, medicine, batteries, and fuel. He stated that it is still too early to predict when or when Ian will make landfall, but that orders for evacuation may be issued in the upcoming days.
It has to do with a lunar mission: NASA authorities have chosen to cancel next week’s scheduled launch attempt as Ian approaches. They are already working through technical concerns prior to the Artemis I launch.
Fiona’s final deed: Fiona, a post-tropical cyclone, has left thousands of people in Atlantic Canada without electricity after a violent stint as a hurricane.
