ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, the Directorate General Immigration and Passports (DGIP) debuted an online passport-fee app that will allow millions of people to pay their fees without having to wait in line at a bank.
The facility was one of many that the government planned to introduce in the coming months as part of the “Passport Fee Asaan” project.The application’s launcher, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, tweeted about the government’s initiative.Salman Sufi, the head of the prime minister’s (PM) Strategic Reforms, also tweeted about the newly made public application. Through the application, citizens can use PayMaster on the DGIP website to pay their passport payments.
