Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Finance and Revenue, stated in this location on Sunday that the government gives the IT sector top priority in order to realise its full potential because it has enormous development potential and may significantly help Pakistan’s economy.
The minister was presiding over a meeting of the Prime Minister’s Task Force on Information Technology (IT) and Telecom, which included the Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Secretary Finance, Secretary IT and Telecom, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, and Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. Also present were Minister for IT and Telecom Syed Amin Ul Haque, Special Assistance for Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Ms. Shaza Fatima Khwaja, and SAPM on Finance Tariq Bajwa (PTA).
