KARACHI: Gold prices remained flat on Monday as investors stayed away and closely monitored the rupee-to-dollar parity.The price of gold increased marginally by Rs 100 per tola and Rs 84 per 10 kilos to settle at Rs 156,000 and Rs 133,744, respectively, according to data supplied by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The ongoing wedding season is driving up physical demand for gold, despite the precious metal trading in a narrow range.In Pakistan, the cost of the precious good is about Rs 3,000 less than it would be in the Dubai market.
