ISLAMABAD: The PTI Senator Azam Khan Swati’s alleged video, which the agency has deemed “false,” was the subject of a Monday inquiry from the Senate’s Standing Committee for Interior to the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime division.
During the meeting, the Inspector General of Police for Islamabad was also present. Senator Salim Rehman, who is in charge of the cybercrime wing, questioned how long the video has been available on the dark web.
When asked a question, the official said, “I’ll check and confirm.”Officials from the interior ministry revealed during the meeting that the letter was written following Senator Swati’s news conference.Saifullah Abro, a senator for PTI, enquired of the agency’s representative whether the footage will be subject to a forensic analysis.
