BANNU: On Wednesday, JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman questioned why the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had reserved the decision in the PTI’s prohibited fundraising case until after it was announced.
It should be recalled that Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja issued a directive on June 15 instructing officials to omit references to the PTI’s case involving illegal funding for the party as the “foreign” funding case.
Today in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fazl remarked that although the court has the power to pronounce rulings, the Parliament has the power to enact laws.He added that PTI Chairman Imran Khan is “trying to hide behind the courts” and that “we have to make laws and not the court.”
