ISLAMABAD: On Sunday, President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reiterated their commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation between their two nations in a number of areas, including commerce, investment, defense, and tourism.
They commemorated the close links of fraternity and friendship that were based on common history, values, and cultural similarities between Turkiye and Pakistan.
According to a press statement from the PM office media wing, the two leaders had a friendly and warm phone chat during which they exchanged congratulations and best wishes for Eid ul Adha.
Additionally, President Erdogan and Prime Minister Sharif talked on how to advance prosperity, peace, and stability both inside and outside of the region.
They called on the international world to step up peace efforts to put an end to the suffering of the defenseless Palestinian people, while also expressing grave concerns about the state of affairs in Palestine at the moment. The cordial discussion between the two presidents demonstrated Turkiye and Pakistan’s long-standing friendship as well as their shared will to maintain close collaboration in the days to come.
In order to call the 7th meeting of the High Level Strategic Consultative Council (HLSCC), the prime minister extended his kind invitation to President Erdogan to make an official visit to Pakistan as soon as possible.
