Elon Musk, a multibillionaire, slammed Twitter with a new meme after abandoning a $44 billion acquisition of the microblogging platform.
According to a regulatory filing, the richest man in the world informed Twitter on Friday that he would not be purchasing the company and that it had made “misleading” claims regarding the number of fake accounts.
In response to Musk’s announcement, Twitter says it will sue the Tesla CEO to enforce the $44 billion purchase agreement for the business that the multibillionaire is now attempting to sell.
The Twitter Board is dedicated to completing the transaction on the terms and price agreed upon with Mr. Musk, and Bret Taylor tweeted that the company plans to take legal action to enforce the merger agreement. “We are certain that we will succeed.”
Elon Musk now mocked Twitter on Monday by posting a meme that consists of a collage of four images of the billionaire laughing out loud, each with a commentary.
They told me I couldn’t buy Twitter, the first photo comment reads, and the second adds, “Then they wouldn’t disclose bot info.”
“Now they want to force me to buy Twitter in court,” reads the third comment.
“Now they have to disclose bot information in court,” reads the final comment.
