The participants of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march will be protected from Wazirabad to Rawalpindi by measures made by Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
While presiding over a meeting, he said that the safety of the PTI leadership and the attendees would not be compromised, and that a bulletproof rostrum and glass should be used on the vehicle leading the march.
He advised creating a fresh container made of bulletproof material. According to him, the Punjabi government would offer all kind of assistance in this area.
In a meeting with PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Q leaders, including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Moonis Elahi, Umar Ayub, and Hussain Elahi, a planned security plan for the lengthy march was given by police officials.
The participants went over the march’s security plans in great detail for when it resumed on Thursday.
The CM gave directions on how to make sure that there are perfect security measures for the marchers in every city from Wazirabad to Rawalpindi.
Snipers, according to him, ought to be stationed on the rooftops of the structures in the area.
