ISLAMABAD Imran Khan has been caught red handed, according to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who was responding to the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision against PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Foreign Minister Bilawal posted on Twitter, “Imran Khan was found guilty of fraudulent practises by the Pakistani election commission. He is now no longer eligible.”
He said, “He who would propagate tales about alleged corruption of his political opponents has been caught red handed,” as he called out the PTI Chairman.
The unanimous verdict, in which the PTI chairman has been disqualified, was previously declared by a four-member bench led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja.
Imran Khan is no longer a member of the National Assembly, according to the ECP’s ruling, which also notes that he presented a fake affidavit and engaged in corrupt activities.
The National Assembly seat held by Imran Khan has been declared vacant by the electoral body.
ECP continued by saying that Imran Khan should face legal repercussions because he is no longer “Sadiq and Amin.”
