SHEIKHUPURA: Maryam Nawaz, vice president of the PML-N, asserted on Friday that because international oil prices have declined, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would soon announce a “relief package” for the country’s citizens.
In Sheikhupura, Maryam claimed that Nawaz Sharif would still have support even if he were to be imprisoned or living in London.
The PML-N leader questioned the populace as to why PTI Chairman Imran Khan regularly appears on television only to criticise others while doing nothing to assist those in need while he was in office.
“Imran Khan was unable to discuss [PTI’s] performance in Punjab for even 1.5 minutes during his 1.5-hour speech. Today, Punjab is still holding the lion, said Maryam.
She added that PML-N would get the country out of trouble no matter how dire the circumstances, saying that people were aware of who was to blame for the ongoing inflation.
Why should Punjab vote for Fitna Khan? The PML-N leader claimed that Pinki Peerni, her children, and Farah Gogi became millionaires while Punjab became poorer.
Maryam claimed that Khan insults listeners while giving speeches but withholds information about his performance. She continued by pointing out that despite Hamza Shehbaz’s announcement that all residents of Punjab would receive free electricity, the PTI decided to sue over it.
The PML-N leader predicted that PM Shahbaz would soon announce significant relief for the populace. “Thank goodness, oil prices have decreased in the international market,” he said.
Maryam said that the woman had gone to Imran Khan for justice regarding the accusations levelled against NAB chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, but the former prime minister instead kept the video in his possession at the Prime Minister’s House.
“The Prime Minister’s Office became a hub for blackmailing while Imran Khan was in office. Maryam alleged that Khan obtained a video from Tayyaba Gul and began extorting the NAB chairman.
The NAB chairman’s video, according to the PML-N leader, was used to drop charges against PTI leaders. She questioned, “Was Fitna Khan in power for the benefit of the people or for extortion?”
