INDIA: One of the largest international chocolate firms in the world, Cadbury, was targeted by India’s right-wing boycott trend-setters on Sunday after it claimed to have used gelatin in its goods that was “derived from beef,” hurting the feelings of believers.
In India, boycotts based on “sensations being wounded” have been progressively growing and gaining traction. The nation’s right-wing boycott movement continues to scrutinise everything, including movies, celebrities, companies, and organisations.
On social media, a screenshot that appears to have come from a Cadbury web page has apparently sparked outrage among Indian right-wing Hindu organisations. The company stated that the beef-derived gelatin used in their goods is “halal certified” in the screenshot.
