Diwali is the “celebration of the end of terror,” according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who travelled to Kargil on Monday to celebrate the holiday of lights with warriors. He claimed that Kargil had made this possible.
“For me, all of you have been my relatives for years,” stated PM Modi. Spending Diwali in Kargil with our valiant soldiers is an honour. The cornerstone of India’s security is the forces.
In his address to the troops, Prime Minister Modi wished everyone a very happy Diwali from the triumphant land of Kargil. There has never been a conflict with Pakistan in which Kargil hasn’t raised the victory flag. End of Atank (horror) is what Diwali signifies, and Kargil made it possible.
