As a result of the continuous floods in the South Asian nation, Pakistan continues to experience an upsurge in dengue cases despite the previous outbreak.
In the previous 24 hours, 386 new dengue fever cases have been registered throughout the southern Sindh Province, according to the provincial health department’s report on Sunday evening. The worst-affected region was Karachi, the largest metropolis in the nation and the capital of its province, which recorded 349 new cases.
In Sindh, the number of dengue cases increased to 3,020 in September, bringing the local total to 5,589 by 2022.
Additionally, the province health department stated on Sunday night that 166 additional persons in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province received the disease’s diagnosis in the previous 24 hours. There are now 1,356 active cases in the province as a whole.
