Following the passing of David Crosby this Thursday, as reported by Fox News, Neil Young posted a heartfelt tribute to him on his website. David Crosby was Neil Young’s late bandmate from the group Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
Before David’s passing, Neil and Crosby frequently disagreed. After Crosby made remarks about Young’s wife that he later acknowledged to regretting, the two faced years of animosity.
Neil penned: “Despite David’s passing, his music continues. David’s voice and vigour were the heart and soul of CSNY and the foundation of our band. His duet with Graham was one of our presentations’ highlights because of how unforgettable their singing was.”
He also added, “We had a lot of fun, especially in the beginning. In the early years of my life, Crosby was a friend who helped me a lot as we shared a lot of the same experiences. David was a major initiator of numerous events.”
David Crosby passed away on Thursday at the age of 81. Five of his children still live.
