The capital of Balochistan, Quetta, was shut off from the rest of the nation on Friday due to the relentless rains; however, after about 24 hours, contact was restored in the city.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) tweeted that the affected voice and data services in Balochistan have been restored.Earlier, the telecommunications regulator said that the company’s optical fibre line had suffered damage as a result of flash floods and excessive rainfall.
Voice and internet services have reportedly been affected in Quetta, Ziarat, Khuzdar, Loralai, Pashin, Chaman, Panjgor, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, and Qila Abdullah, according to the PTA.Rescue operations were delayed by the heavy overnight rains, which also disrupted mobile and internet connection.
