KARACHI: The alleged gang rape of a young girl in the provincial capital by flood victims was brought to the attention of the Chief Justice Sindh High Court (CJ SHC) on Wednesday.
According to the SHC Registrar, the Chief Justice became aware of the occurrence after reading about it in the news. On October 27 at 1 pm, DIG South was personally called before Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh.
Along with the report pertaining to the incident’s inquiry, CJ SHC also ordered SSP Investigation South One to appear in person.It should be recalled that earlier, the police acted and detained two individuals after receiving a report of a gang rape of a female who had been a flood victim in Karachi’s Clifton neighbourhood. Additionally, the incident’s vehicle was found.
