China has blocked a proposal by India and the United States to list Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Shahid Mahmood as a global terrorist at the United Nations, the fourth time in as many months that Beijing has blocked bids to blacklist terrorists at the world organisation.
According to reports, China has put a halt to India and the United States’ proposal to designate Mahmood as a global terrorist under the UN Security Council’s 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee.
