In response to the recent attack on the Pakistani embassy in Germany and the removal of the national flag, the cabinet has launched the “Hurmat-e-Parcham” campaign to express solidarity and reaffirm the nation’s respect for its symbol of identity and sovereignty. The campaign, which translates to “Respect the Flag,” aims to promote a sense of national pride and unity among citizens. Federal ministers have led the charge by sharing pictures of themselves with the Pakistani flag on social media, accompanied by heartfelt messages expressing their love and respect for the national emblem.
The campaign has gained momentum, with numerous ministers participating, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari, Minister for Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer, and Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, among others. The ministers’ participation has helped to amplify the campaign’s message, encouraging citizens to join in and demonstrate their own respect for the flag. Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has made a special appeal to various segments of society, including political activists, journalists, intellectuals, educators, and the youth, to participate in the campaign and share their own photos with the flag on social media.
The “Hurmat-e-Parcham” campaign holds significant importance, as the flag of Pakistan represents the nation’s unity, solidarity, and sovereignty. By launching this campaign, the government aims to reaffirm the nation’s commitment to its values and principles, while also promoting a sense of national pride and identity among citizens. As the campaign continues to gain traction, it is expected to foster a sense of unity and solidarity among Pakistanis, both within the country and around the world.
