Following claims of racism, Cricket Scotland’s entire 14-member board announced their resignations on Sunday.The Board of Cricket Scotland has resigned, Cricket Scotland announced on its Twitter account.
The board declared, “With immediate effect, we will work in cooperation with Sport Scotland to ensure that proper governance, leadership, and support is in place for sport in the days ahead.
This morning, the board of directors sent the letter of resignation to the acting CEO.The journal revealed yesterday that a “devastating” inquiry into Scottish cricket had found it to be institutionally racist, and the resignations follow that news, according to its article.
“With immediate effect, Cricket Scotland will collaborate with Sportscotland to make sure the organisation and the sport have the proper governance, leadership, and support in the days to come, according to a statement from Cricket Scotland.
The spokesman continued, “These procedures will be revisited after the report on racism in Scottish cricket is published and updates given accordingly.”
