MELBOURNE: Babar Azam‘s team held their first practise at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday, ahead of the eagerly awaited and high-tension T20 World Cup match between Pakistan and India.Pakistani athletes trained at the MCG until 5:30 p.m. after arriving at 2:00 p.m.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, the opening pair for Pakistan, decided to train together as batting partners and went to the practise nets to take on various bowling combinations to strengthen their partnership.
They were challenged by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf in the fast bowlers’ nets first.Naseem maintained a steady rhythm throughout the practise and put the opening pair to the test.
