Ayaz thanks the World Bank for helping Pakistan with its flood relief efforts.
The World Bank’s help has played and will continue to play a crucial part in Pakistan’s socioeconomic advancement, according to Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
On Wednesday in Islamabad, he spoke with the World Bank’s Country Director Najy Benhassine and Regional Director for South Asia John A Roome.
The Federal Minister thanked the World Bank for providing Pakistan with flood relief assistance.
He said that all significant economic areas, including infrastructure, agriculture, rural and urban development, human capital, social services, and economic growth, are covered by World Bank operations.
According to Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, his ministry is now making sure that the projects are also reviewed and the monies are used as effectively as possible.
The World Bank’s pipeline projects for assisting post-flood rehabilitation and reconstruction initiatives, particularly in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan, were discussed by the regional director John A. Roome. He stressed the necessity for strong collaboration with the provinces to expedite the completion of these projects.
