WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden declared in a video broadcast to his Twitter account that he was “doing fine” after testing positive for COVID-19 despite being fully immunised and twice boosted.
His positive test result, his modest symptoms, and the fact that he will continue working in isolation were earlier verified by the White House. Biden, 79, is the oldest individual to have ever held the office of US president.
According to a report from White House physician Kevin O’Connor that was made public on Thursday, he has a runny nose, tiredness, and an infrequent dry cough, symptoms that he started experiencing late on Wednesday.
Biden also mentioned in his 21-second film that he was “getting a lot of work done” and would carry on with his responsibilities. He was smiling, holding documents at his desk, and wearing a jacket in a picture posted to his Twitter account.
