PML-N Senator Afnan Ullah files a complaint against PTI attorney Sher Afzal.
PML-N According to information made public on Saturday, senator Afnan Ullah Khan has filed a first information report (FIR) against Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, the attorney for former prime minister Imran Khan, on suspicion of assaulting the senator during a live media event.
The senator then pushed Marwat away from him for a few seconds before they both vanished from the angle of the camera. The host, however, was heard ordering people in his studio to intervene and stop Afnan and Marwat from striking one other.
The FIR was filed at the Aabpara police station on Friday in accordance with Sections 352 (punishment for criminal force other than on grave provocation) and 506ii (criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). A copy of the FIR is accessible at Dawn.com.
According to the FIR, the senator and the PTI attorney were invited to the TV programme to talk about the present political climate. According to the FIR, Sher Afzal Marwat abruptly attacked me during the contentious discussion, tried to strike me, and threatened to kill me if I didn’t face the consequences.
Marwat had also acknowledged “the fact that he attacked me” in a tweet, it was claimed. Therefore, the senator argued, a lawsuit against the attorney must be filed, and he called for action against Marwat.
