Fintech Hackathon
The Fintech Hackathon 2022 finals was held in Lahore on October 17, 2022, and it was organised by Allied Bank Limited (ABL) and the National Incubation Center (NIC).
The goal of the hackathon was for NIC and ABL to discover prototypes, revolutionary ideas, and workable and inventive solutions that can alter fintech not just in Pakistan but around the world.
For the hackathon, the following thematic areas in fintech were chosen to develop solutions:
- Financial technology innovation
- Financial Literacy and Inclusion
- Banking for SME & Startups
A statewide call for applications brought in more than 1,100 submissions from programmers, UI/UX specialists, and financial problem-solvers from 53 locations and 26 universities across Pakistan.
“The suggestions were made in an effort to improve customer service, financial inclusion, and credit access. This event serves as a shining example of how Allied Bank significantly contributes to attaining the goals of the State Bank of Pakistan, which Allied Bank has always been a passionate supporter of,” he added.
