Abdul Shakoor Shad, a PTI lawmaker, had his membership suspended on Saturday and received a show-cause notice as a result of his recent comments and determination to petition the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The congressman had submitted his “handwritten resignation letter,” according to the notice from PTI’s Sindh chapter, and had also posted it on Twitter.
The letter further stated that Shad had stated in his Twitter bio that he had previously served in the National Assembly (MNA).
It went on to say that the Karachi legislator had also submitted paperwork to run as PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s replacement in the NA-246 by-elections.
