Khan and his co-star Kiara Advani played a Hindu couple getting married and going through traditional Hindu wedding customs in the bank advertisement.The advertisement offended the right-wing Hindus, who feel that it assaulted Hindu culture.
Many people praise the advertisement for challenging gender stereotypes.A Twitter user said that the advertisement “advocates gender equality” and questioned why people “blame Iran’s Mullah.”
