Reliance
NEW DELHI As part of a $25 billion ambition to introduce the next-generation wireless services within two months, India’s leading telecom company Reliance said on Monday that it is collaborating with Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc.
The largest 5G network in the world will be launched by Jio in major cities like New Delhi and Mumbai before being expanded throughout India by December of next year, according to Chairman Mukesh Ambani, who was speaking at the company’s annual general meeting.
The only thing Ambani, one of the wealthiest men in India, said was that the phone they were developing with Google would be “ultra-affordable.” Currently, India has the cheapest 5G phones, which cost under $150.
