ISLAMABAD: Pakistan categorically denied on Sunday the recent wave of “false terrorism-related statements” made by India, in which a few isolated claimed occurrences were misrepresented and portrayed as a purported “terror” conspiracy against New Delhi.
Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, a spokesman for the foreign office, said in a statement that some Indian media outlets had claimed that India had intercepted a WhatsApp message from a “Pakistani” number and had also found a “empty boat” in Maharashtra with some weaponry inside.
He stated that dishonest attempts have been made by some Indian media outlets to falsely connect these to the absurd allegations that an attack in the style of Mumbai is being planned.
