ISLAMABAD: United States Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome called on Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in Islamabad on Tuesday. During the meeting, matters of regional security situation, enhanced bilateral and defence cooperation were discussed.
Both parties agreed to strengthen military-to-military ties, particularly in the areas of operations and training. The dignitary expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts to advance peace in the region and promised to expand cooperation in a number of areas.
He also praised the Pakistan Air Force’s professionalism and the remarkable advancements it has made over the years, particularly through indigenization. The Air Chief emphasised his commitment to enhancing the already-existing bilateral collaboration between the two key partners while highlighting the friendly relations that exist between the two nations.
He said Pakistan values its strong diplomatic, economic and defence relations with the United States which are based on convergence on all important issues relating to regional peace, security and stability.
