Squid Game
The Netflix 2021 hit Squid Game and its actor Lee Jung Jae took home two significant prizes at the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) TV Awards in California in 2022.The 2022 HCA TV Awards were broadcast on August 13 and Squid Game won in two of the seven categories for which they were nominated.
The most popular hit show in South Korea, which also happens to be the most viewed, received the Best International Series award, beating off Lupin, Money Heist, Mexico Pachinko, and Acapulco.
Another accomplishment is the “Best Actor in a Streaming Series, Drama” award earned by the series’ star Lee Jung Jae.In his speech of congratulations, the actor shocked the audience by stating, “Squid Game brought me so much good luck.
I genuinely appreciate all of the love, support, and enjoyment the show has received from people throughout the globe. I’m eager to see how my new acting career through Squid Game develops.
