ISLAMABAD: The address given by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, United Kingdom, on Friday was a “honour for Pakistan,” according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The attendance of the army chief, according to the prime minister, was a sign of respect for the strategic alliance between Pakistan and the UK as well as for the military’s accomplishments in the fight against terrorism.
The army commander talked on a variety of topics during the passing out parade at the Royal Military Academy, where he was the first chief guest from Pakistan.
It should be mentioned that COAS made history by being the first Pakistani to ever represent the Queen at the Military Academy Sandhurst.
