Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, gave his approval on Tuesday to the 18-member Punjab cabinet, which excludes any PML-Q members.
The 18-member cabinet is made up of PTI MNAs, and the party leader also removed two portfolios that were given to the PML-Q in the cabinet of former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar.
According to sources with direct knowledge of the situation, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal may receive the Ministry of Housing and Works, Yasmin Rashid may receive the Ministry of Health, and Dr. Murad Ras may receive the Ministry of Federal Education.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs is likely to go to Muhammad Basharat Raja, while the Ministry of Finance could go to Hashim Jawan Bakht, the Ministry of Law and Justice to Khurram Shahzad Virk, the Ministry of Higher Education to Raja Yassir Humayun, and the Ministry of the Interior to Muhammad Hashim Dogar.
