LAHORE: School schedules for the province of Punjab, including Lahore, have been made public as of August 1. The announcement states that the province’s boys’ schools would start at 7:30 am and end at 1:00 pm, while the girls’ schools will be open from 7:15 am to 1:00 pm. Boys and girls will have the day off on Friday at 11:30 and 11:00, respectively.
Furthermore, the timings for the schools working in double shifts will be from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm in the first shift and the second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The timings for the schools will be changed for the winter season from October 15, the education authorities of Punjab said.
On June 18, it was discovered that over 7,000 Insaf Afternoon schools in the Punjab province, which were set up to raise the literacy rate and effectively manage the educational infrastructure, are about to close. If funding are not made available within a month, the afternoon schools would be closed, according to the provincial department of education. The teachers have not received their fees for the last four months, it has been revealed.
