Jibran Nasir, Mehdi Kazmi’s attorney, claimed on Friday that a YouTube user had repeatedly pressed Kazmi’s younger sister to take part in an interview.
Nasir expressed his annoyance at the YouTuber, who he claimed introduced himself as Faisal and “refused to leave and harassed the lady for a full 15 minutes” despite being informed that the woman’s father wasn’t home.
Kazmi’s legal representative posted on Twitter: “I’m horrified by the abuse being meted out to Mehdi Kazmi’s family right now. Mehdi Kazmi sb’s home was visited today by a YouTuber going by the name of Faisal, who wasn’t home.”

He added that he did not leave and kept knocking on the door, insisting on a video interview. “Sister told him that Mehdi sb isn’t available and if he has any questions he may speak to lawyers,” he said.
Nasir continued by announcing that the YouTuber will face legal action and referring to the video-sharing service as the “most irresponsible party” in this situation.
In his article, he claimed that YouTube “seems to not care much about its own community guidelines to ensure the welfare of child victims of heinous criminal offences.”
On Wednesday, Dua Zahra appeared in court after being transferred from Lahore to Karachi. Police officers brought her before a judicial magistrate in the city court.
The court stated during the hearing that Dua was to be presented today to ensure that the setting was appropriate and that she should not be presented until further orders were made.
