ISLAMABAD: According to data released by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Tuesday, Pakistan has reported 371 new cases of the Coronavirus, while there has only been one death in the past 24 hours. 13,439 Covid tests were performed nationwide in the previous 24 hours, according to the NIH data, 371 of which were positive. In comparison to yesterday, the national Covid-19 test positivity ratio decreased to 2.76 percent. According to reports, 184 individuals may be in severe condition.
It is important to note that Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), expressed concern about the rising number of coronavirus cases that were taxing medical staff and systems. In the last two weeks, the WHO received a 30% spike in Covid cases due to sub-variants of the Omicron strain and the loosening of control measures.
