RAWALPINDI: Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar made the decision to make a biography on himself, titling it Rawalpindi Express after his on-field moniker as one of the fastest bowlers of his day. He posted a trailer for the movie on Sunday with the statement “Beginning of this amazing trip. Announcing the release of Rawalpindi Express: Running against the Odds, my tale, my life, and my biography.
“You’re misguided if you believe you already know a lot. You’re about to have an adventure you’ve never had. a global undertaking by Q Film Productions [and the] first worldwide film about a Pakistani athlete. The brief trailer showed Akhtar’s figure running with his back to the camera in a very hazy frame with train tracks in the middle. While a train siren is audible in the background but no locomotive is visible, the camera zoomed in on him and his jersey with the number 14 filled the entire screen. The movie’s release date, November 16, 2023, was also disclosed in the teaser. The director, Muhammad Faraz Qaiser, said actualizing an idea he had in 2016 is like a dream come true for him.
