A Pakistani man has testified in front of a UK court on suspicion of killing a student and disposing of her remains in a suitcase.In Pakistan, Muhammad Arslan is charged with murdering Hina Bashir, a member of the same village.
On July 17, Hina, a Coventry University London student, age 21, was discovered in a ditch in Upminster. She had been dating Arsalan before relocating to the UK about six months prior.
The defendant showed up in court, gave his name, identification, and country of citizenship, and was then remanded in detention.Along with a companion, Hina visited Arsalan’s home on July 11. After that, she was last seen alive, and her body was discovered on July 17.
On July 14, the victim’s father dialled 911 because she hadn’t shown up for work or answered the door to her residence.Her death’s cause has not yet been made public.
“My heart goes out to Hina’s family, who has lost a loved one so tragically. We will offer them every assistance we can, “said the head inspector detective.
